Womanade provides short-term monetary assistance to neighbors in need by coordinating with local social service agencies. As a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Womanade distributes 100% of donated funds.
WHO WE ARE
Womanade was formed in 2004 by a small group of women on Boston's South Shore as a means to quietly and efficiently provide help to neighbors in need. Nineteen years later, the need is greater than ever. We are typically able to provide relief to clients within 24 hours of their request. |
WHAT WE DO
Board members maintain relationships with area social services agencies. When a critical need arises, we are contacted with the specific request. Requests range from covering the cost of a prescription to an electric bill. All requests are considered carefully by the board. If the request is granted, the need is funded, usually within 24 hours. |
